In high school, learning new skills is easier. The pace is slower, and subjects are simpler than in college. College is much harder and moves much faster. You won’t have time to learn these skills in college.
In high school, you’re more at ease in
familiar surroundings. You’re at home with friends you know. In college, everything’s new and different. You’re adjusting to a million new things: new city, living in a dorm, dealing with a roommate, eating different food, making new friends, etc.
Sharpening these skills takes time. Some skills will come easier to you thanothers.
All will take lots of practice.
You’ll need time to master these skills and to use them in
many different subjects: from science to English.
Using the book's strategies will help you remember what you learn in high school. This is really important.
For example, your college math professor is going to expect you to remember that math you learned as
a
high school sophomore. This is a HUGE reason to
become
college smart now!
